you must have experienced quite a bit of relief in the last few days. (finally.) i'm so glad you've found a "fit" for ella and that it seems to also have found her some relief. i was fearing a radiator had burst at your wisconsin house, so a running toilet (outside of the huge water bill) sounds like good news to me.
and your mother! oh, it must feel good to know that even though you can't be as near to her as you'd like that she has so much love and support from those are.
hope you have gotten the time with your mother, rest and relaxation you've been hoping for and deserve.
It's so good to have some alone time with your parents and extended relatives. Write everything down so you can remember to share with your kids their interesting heritage.
(I have German relatives too. A man spoke to me at my Grandpa's funeral about how when he was a kid, he couldn't speak any Enlish yet and Grandpa translated everything to German for him until he could.)
Wife, mother, daughter, sister, student, photographer. Living in the foothills of the Wasatch Range with my handsome husband, Chris, my kids: Harrison (8), & Ella (6) and one great dog, Basie. Taking pictures as much as I can.
