What! You gave it one day...give it a few before make a judgement!

Trust me, it takes awhile to adjust. Some days, I still struggle with it. I joined a Moms group geared towards professional women who choose to stay home even to help. But, there are moments you will experience, when you will know that you are doing the right thing and you will change forever. Hang in there...it'll come...

Give it 30 days.

Don't panic, breathe deeply and hang in there!

And yay, your comments are working again :-)

The first day is always the hardest. It will get better and if not just find another job!

just HANG ON.

you need to give it more than a day -

email me with the problems, if you like, and I'll talk you down...
it's what I do.

Everyone else has said it as well as I would...but just take a deep breath!

Add me to the list of folks saying to give it more time. I think it might have been easier if you'd had time off between jobs; maybe the suddenness is too jarring. My gut feeling is that you will grow into your new job (which is, of course, different than your old one in clientele and schedule and probably politics, for starters) and eventually hit your stride. At some point you'll be able to look back on your first day and see how much you've progressed in your acclimation.

This is all a very complicated way of saying, "Hang in there!" :-)

Tell them to FUCK OFF, YOU QUIT.

(Or, Plan B: Just think how fun it would be to say that but instead quietly slough on knowing there is a 99.9% chance it will be better soon, it's always hard being the new kid no matter what age you are.)
