Playing "Pooh Sticks" - a game invented by Christopher Robin to play with his animal buddies. You stand on a bridge with a stick. You drop the stick in the creek/river current and run to the other side of the bridge to see it come out from under the bridge. It's totally simple, but always elicits TONS of giggles and laughs. It becomes really interesting when the stick doesn't come out or gets stuck. Then you have to grab a stick and help (see above.)

Beautiful. I grew up playing "Pooh Sticks" on a bridge over a small creek a few houses down. Thanks for taking me back. I must find a creek and a bridge and teach my Pooh-loving daughter this game.
I have never heard of "Pooh stick?" Please elaborate? It seems that I have been missing out!

I enjoy your photos a great deal. Some are more artsy and fun, some purely record the moment in time. The pic of your husband with your son and daughter at the bottom of this post will undoubtedly live long in their minds. It is the best photo I have seen of those lovely children. Does it capture their personalities? I wouldn't know, but I DO know that you have captured a moment in their lives that will speak to the three of them forever!
I have a very difficult child who (like you in your situation) I love so much. It is hard to be plain spoken and honest about her behavior, and yet to love her so much. I know that other people look her over and think "difficult". I see her wee face and see beauty when others classify her in other unflattering ways.
I appreciate your honesty about your son's experiences. I just wanted you to know that I just looked at his face in this trio pic and thought "what a beautiful boy that is".
We'll all get there!
